Tournament organizer ESL announced lately that they are stopping their partnership with Russian teams amidst the conflict between Russia and Ukraine,. Alongwith stopping CIS region events, they are excluding Russian teams from their tournaments.

But in order to stick to their non-governmental, non-political name, they will allow Virtus.pro and Gambit Esports players to compete under neutral flags. This means the teams will not be able to wear shirts with their logos, sponsor names or country flag.

The rule now is only applicable to "organizations with apparent ties to the Russian government, including individuals or organizations under alleged or confirmed EU sanctions related to the conflict".

ESL will further note about updates on the situation.
