Medardus Martin "stavn" Lund from Heroic got 16th place in this years best CS:GO players list by HLTV.org. He lost 4 positions compared to 2020, despite being the highest-rated player on his team that actually got a number of good results throughout the year.
Heroic got into the top-4 of the only Major CS:GO fans had this year — PGL Major Stockholm 2021, finished ESL Pro League S14 with a similar result, and also won EPL S14 in the beginning of the season. The last tournament was less successful for the team, as they struggled to get higher than 13th-16th placement on IEM XVI — Winter. HLTV.org probably took this fact into consideration when rating stavn.
The player himself never got any MVP awards this year, but he was the best-rated player on Heroic with 1.10 over the whole 2021. That is only 0.01 better than Casper "cadiaN" Møller, of course, but still it was stavn that lead Heroic into the battle most of the time.
