CS:GO analyst Duncan “Thorin” Shields suggested that Virtus.Pro roster has come to IEM Katowice 2022 to “steal the whole thing out of nowhere” due to the clear favourites NAVI suffering from their IGL Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov's unexpected illness.
Mikhailov made a tweet yesterday, announcing that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and will have to join the team from an isolated hotel room for today’s match in the group stage of IEM Katowice 2022 against ENCE.
According to the updated rules of ESL, players that have to compete from isolation will not be allowed to take part in playoff matches, which might indicate that NAVI will bring in a substitute in case they manage to reach the next stage. However, since then Polish govenment has officialy made the quarantine rules a bit softer, so it is possible that we'll see NAVI in their full strenght quite soon.
