Shifting the meta post-World Championship is a common practice for LoL devs. Before the world will welcome 2023, there have been massive changes to the world of Runeterra and here we are to inspect the main additions and modifications with LoL patch 12.22.

Starting with ARAM, the game mode will include more balance changes. The reworked map will make it easier to reach your objective in this mode. This has been discussed in our previous topic. The main take from there is that you can use enemy Hexgates from 12.22 on.

As for champion buffs and nerfs, there are specific changes for Cho'Gath, Nunu and Willump and Lillia, all described in the official patch notes. Adjustments also refer to Rakan, who is now a melee champ.

Chemtech Drake was another surprise return. His impact will now be maximized with the infection of jungle plants. The details can be found here.

Jungle Mechanics make the game more fun with added companions that now replace jungle items. Jungle pets come in 3 types, with more lean on helping the player defeat enemies, Drakes and minions

There will also be new lane gold and xp gain adjustments, where  all minions spawned in the mid lane will now be worth 1 less gold before 14 minutes when last hit. These minions will grant 2.15 more xp for solo champs.
