Riot Games LoL champions designer commented on the development team's future plans, regarding the appearance of the upcoming champions. After the release of Bel'Veth and Nilah, the next step is to release some monstrous creatures. Riot do this in order to set a balance between human creatures and monsters, entering the Summoner's Rift.

Latest LoL hero designs were a point of debate for many fans, as Riot seemingly turned towards more human-like champions with a special focus towards attractive female characters. This caused some debates as more old-fashioned players missed the monster designs, such as Warwick or Kog'Maw.

Earlier Ryan Mireles had spoken over the pick and ban difference of champions of various genders. According to that study, Female players pick female characters 97 percent of the time, while male players evenly choose either of the genders — 50% for male and female champions. To balance the demand, Riot will also be releasing more female champions throughout their roadmap.
