TSM ex-president Aileena "Leena" Xu made some revelations on Twitch in the livechat of Peter “Doublelift” Peng’s stream, talking about the future of TSM and the off-season in general. TSM's bad performance is connected with the approach of the management and how they want to build the team, Leena thinks.
The matter was discussed in a podcast with Christopher Mykkles, who pointed out that people who have left the organization still manage the recruitment phase of new talents. There were plans to re-sign TSM’s Soren “Bjergsen” Berg, who now plays for Team Liquid and lately defeated his former team. Apart from Bjergsen, the offseason plan was also to sign mid laner Nicolaj ‘Jensen’ Jensen, AD Carry Yiliang ‘Doublelift’ Peng, and support Philippe ‘Vulcan’ Laflamme.
Leena said, "The money spent in LCS is not worth the value of investment". Instead, she pointed out the importance of expanding to the mobile genre and said that it was one of the reasons she left the NA club. Afterwards, TSM.Reginald also defended the idea that TSM have more profit thanks to non-esports assets at their hand, rather than Riot’s titles.
