After the esports community learned about the adjustments coming to Valve's competitive shooter CS:GO, the news about its rival game "VALORANT" came forth by Riot. The latter decided to improve its bonds with various regions,  accepting official regional leagues and tournaments with local esports representatives.

Accordingly, there will be 3 new international leagues with possibly LAN format, as  well as Game Changers leagues for rising players of the shooter. This will enable to distribute branded content, plus letting more teams qualify for major events in this discipline.

VALORANT esports will get "long-term partners for success by forgoing any entry or participation fees for selected organizations, with the aim to free partners from  investing resources in supporting pros and growing fanbases through creating incredible content for fans ", an official letter from Riot states.
