Epicenter will be returning in 2018 as a major, this means that there will be 1,500 Pro Circuit points and a prize pool of $1,000,000 and will draw the attention of all the top teams across the globe.
The event is scheduled to start on the 27th of April 2018 and more information about the tournament will be announced at a later date.
The third instalment of EPICENTER is a tournament by Epic Esports Events.
The main event will be held at the VTB Ice Palace on May 4–6.
Each of the six regions will have qualifiers that consists of four invited teams and four teams coming from open brackets.
The eight teams are divided into two groups of four. The groups are played out in a double elimination bracket with best-of-three series, the top two teams from each group move on to the playoffs.
The qualifier playoffs are also a double elimination bracket with the final being a best-of-five except for the final in the SEA qualifier, it is a best-of-three. The winner out of each final qualifies to the main event.
The madness qualifier is an international qualifier which is an eight-team single elimination bracket with best-of-ones all throughout. The winner moves on to the main tournament.
Round robin groups with best-of-three matches (six teams/group).
Top two of each group advance to the Upper Bracket of the main event.
3rd and 4th placed teams advance to the Lower Bracket of the main event.
Bottom two teams of both groups are eliminated.
Double elimination bracket, first two rounds of the Lower Bracket are best-of-one.
All other matches are best-of-three (best-of-five grand finals).
