ESL One Katowice in 2018 will be the first Major ever to be held in Poland in Dota2 with 16 teams from all around the globe battling for the lions share of $1,000,000 total prize pool and 1,500 Pro Circuit Points.

10 directly invited teams with six teams from global qualifiers will be playing in the Spodek Arena in Katowice on the 20th of February.

Tournament Format


Single elimination bracket with best-of-three matches.

All qualifiers will qualify one team to the main event except for the european which qualifies two teams.

Group Stage

Two groups of eight teams playing out a double elimination brackets with best-of-three matches after the initial round which are best-of-ones.

The top teams from each group are seeded into the playoffs semi finals and the 2nd and 3rd place teams are sent to the quarter finals.


Single elimination bracket with best-of-three matches except for the grand final, which is a best-of-five.

ESL announced on the 14th of February that they added a third place match for the event.
