Natus Vincere's comeback to the professional CS:GO after the player's break did not go as planned, as the #1 team in the world sensationally lost two consecutive games and finished the first stage of BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2022 in the last place. The CIS powerhouse first lost to MIBR on Dust2, the favorite map of Brazilians, and later on, also failed to secure the win in a clash against Astralis.

The system allows NAVI to continue performing at the tournament. It's that they'll just have to start from the very first round of the next stage, while some of their better-performing opponents await for them in the next rounds of play-in. Despite the unexpected losses in the groups, this may even be to advantage of NAVI, as the team will have significantly more competitive practice now.

The teams are fighting for places in BLAST Spring Finals, and to get there, NAVI only need two wins now. Another loss won't be a disaster in that sense, as even the other teams will have another shot for the slots in a separate tournament — BLAST Spring Showdown.
