He picked the player in HLTV.org's "bold prediction" segment, while also mentioning another athlete that he expects to see in the next year's best players list — it's Owen "⁠smooya⁠" Butterfield from Fnatic.

M0NESY — It’s boring and unoriginal, he won’t make the top 20 only if G2 play worse than they did in 2021, and I don’t believe that will happen. Smooya — even though he is over 20 and has already played on a top 10 team, he’s never been on this ranking.

Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut, the second best player of 2021, named MOUZ NXT’s 17-year-old rifler Dorian "⁠xertioN⁠" Berman.
