One of the last DPC China Tour 2 matchups was cancelled, as the competing side Vici Gaming forfeited their match, as tweeted by Perfect World. The game was supposed to determine if Vici Gaming or Royal Never Give Up will play at the upcoming ESL Stockholm Major. Now, RNG got their slot without a fight.
The tie-breaker did not take place with one of the possible reasons being the inability to include a stand-in for Li "Irving" Jian. The team played 4 games this season with Zhou "Yang" Haiyang as a stand-in, but the rules allow only this much games without their standard roster. As a result, RNG gets the technical victory and earns the slot for Dota 2 Stockholm Major, kicking off in May.
Finally, the top 4 teams in DPC China earning the right to compete in the upcoming major are:
- PSG.LGD;
- Aster;
- Xtreme Gaming;
- RNG.
