The first Dota 2 Major of 2022 concludes the second tour of 2021/2022 DPC season. ESL One Stockholm Major kicks off May 12 and ends on May 22. Let's dive into more details with participants and schedule.

The tournament offers a prize pool of half a million dollars and 3 650 DPC points. The winners will basically guarantee themselves a place at The International 11. The distribution of the prize is:

  • Winner: $200,000 and 680 DPC points

  • 2nd place: $100,00 and 610 DPC points

  • 2rd place: $75,000 and 530 DPC points

  • 4th place: $50,000 and 460 DPC points

  • 5th-6th place: $25,000 and 385 DPC points each

  • 7th-8th place: $12,500 and 240 DPC points each

Event is divided into 2 stages: Group Stage and the Knockout Stage. Out of 14 competitors, the groups are set with the following participants:

Dota 2 Stockholm Major Format

The group stage specifications of the major are:

  • Two groups of seven teams each;
  • Single round-robin;
  • All matches are Bo2;
  • Top four teams from each group advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs;
  • 5th and 6th place teams from each group advance to the lower bracket of the playoffs;
  • Remaining teams are eliminated.

Knockout Stage / Playoffs feature a double elimination bracket, with Best-of-3 format. The Grand Final alone will be in Best-of-5.
