Live-service games regularly rotate content, cosmetics, and collaborations, but a store removal can be especially significant when it involves a licensed character with a distinct gameplay identity. Behaviour Interactive has confirmed that Chucky, Dead by Daylight's Good Guy Killer, will no longer be available to purchase after November 24. Players who already unlock the chapter or its related content before the deadline will keep access, including the ability to use Chucky in the game's 2v8 mode.
A limited window remains for the Chucky Chapter
The Chucky Chapter and its associated content will disappear from both in-game and platform storefronts on Tuesday, November 24, at 11:00 AM Eastern. Behaviour Interactive is also reducing the chapter's price by 50% beginning October 26. Its listed price of $4.99 will drop to $2.49 across storefronts during that sale period. The removal affects new purchases rather than existing ownership: players who obtain the content ahead of the cutoff will still be able to play as Chucky after sales end.
The Good Guy brought a distinctive Killer style
Chucky arrived as Dead by Daylight's 44th Killer, adapting the Child's Play franchise character also known as Charles Lee Ray. Brad Dourif, who has voiced Chucky in multiple projects for nearly four decades, performs the role in the game. Chucky's small model can make him harder for Survivors to track visually, although his movement speed limits that advantage. His power lets him enter Hidey-Ho Mode, creating misleading footstep audio through Illusionary Footfalls. From there, he can use Slice & Dice to attack and Scamper through pallets or windows to maintain pressure in a chase.
Perks will remain, but under revised names
Behaviour Interactive is not removing the gameplay options tied to Chucky's perk set. Instead, the perks previously included with his chapter will be renamed and moved into the general perk pool for all Killers. The change takes effect on November 24. One confirmed example is Hex: Two Can Play, which will become Hex: Eye For An Eye. Batteries Included and Friends 'til the End are also among the perks associated with Chucky's chapter, supporting Killer pressure around generators and Survivor pursuit.
Dead by Daylight continues to build beyond this departure
Chucky's store exit does not mark a slowdown in Dead by Daylight's broader third-party content plans. Earlier in October, the game received NieR: Automata-inspired cosmetics for Feng Min, Yui Kimura, and The Legion, based on 2B, A2, and Emil. Behaviour Interactive has also announced a game-wide graphical rework targeted for the second half of 2027, though it has not provided a precise launch date.

Expert View
This is a reminder that licensed live-service content can have a purchase deadline even when its gameplay remains available to current owners. For Dead by Daylight's community, the important distinction is preservation: Chucky players keep their Killer and can continue using him in modes such as 2v8, while the perk changes prevent his gameplay tools from disappearing from the wider Killer ecosystem. Behaviour's continued cosmetic collaborations and planned graphical overhaul also indicate that the game's content pipeline remains active despite this specific storefront removal.
