Danish Esports club Copenhagen Flames stood out in the CS:GO scene with their young but pretty successful roster that made some noise on two consecutive majors. Unfortunately, eventually players got separated as different clubs approached them to strenghten their own squads. Yet, it seems that the org itself tried to sell the whole five-man team for a surprisingly low price, according to their ex-coach Daniel Vorborg.
One of the first candidates was Complexity Gaming, but the news soon got to public and in the end the deal did not work out. The bids took the margin from $500,000 to $750,000. This was discussed in the community as a very low price back them. However, Vorborg revealed that the entire team price had been reduced to $170,000 later on, but still they got no inquiries from orgs or individuals that would like to sign Copenhagen Flames.
Before the announcement of Vorborg, 3 CPHF players had already chosen to move to another team: Nicodoz and roeJ signed with Fnatic, while Jabbi joined Heroic.
