Gambit Esports have announced, they are accepting the newly-made rules of ESL Pro Leauge and will therefore take part in the competition under a neutral tag and without their flag. The team's new name is "Players" until the end of the tournament. ESL brough up this rule amidst the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
Gambit Esports' Valorant team's name is also getting an update. M3 Champions — this is how the tournament organizers, hosts and casters will call the independent team of Igor "Redgar" Vlasov, Timofey "Chronicle" Khromov, Nikita "d3ffo" Sudakov, Bogdan "Sheydos" Naumov and Ayaz "nAts" Akhmetshin. M3 Champions will continue their run at VCT on March 16, with the rescheduled matches which were missed.
Playing under the neutral tags is the only option for the Russian-based teams to play at the international events now, as the political situation suggests. Previously, Virtus.pro Dota 2 team had to forfeit the GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series Dubai 2022 because of that.
