One of the esports industry insiders, Aleksei "Overdrive" Biryukov made a post about the upcoming IEM Dallas 2022 Championship. On his Telegram channel Overdrive said, that the Russian players will not be eligible for IEM Dallas 2022 participation due to USA not issuing visas to them.

The situation hasn't yet been commented upon by the representatives of ESL. Prior to this, Russian teams were only allowed to participate in ESL tournaments under neutral tags. Take for example, Gambit or Virtus.Pro. The former roster is now named "Players", while the latter are known as "Outsiders".

IEM Dallas is set to kick off April 31st up till May 5th. 16 participants will race for ESL Pro Tour points, as well as a share of 250,000 USD prize pool.
