The unexpected end to this year's IEM Rio CS:GO major had a lot of odd situations, but the most important is the recent ruleset for CIS teams. According to BLAST's policy, teams from Russia cannot compete at its events. That means that the newly-made champions of Rio Major, Outsiders, have no right to compete in another million-dollar tournament for the end of the year. However, it seems that TO has found a way out.
A couple of weeks past the major teams will prepare for the World Finals, organized by BLAST Premier. Despite the points earned throughout the year, VP will bear their standard neutral logo and name — Outsiders.
BLAST Premier World Final takes place on Wednesday, Dec, 14 in Abu Dhabi. It includes FaZe, Vitality, and NAVI in chase of the World Champion title.
