Dead by Daylight Offers Fans a Chance to Try Chorus of Sin Early

Dead by Daylight is entering a major new phase after celebrating its 10th anniversary and outlining several future projects. The next chapter, Chorus of Sin, is especially notable because its direction was shaped through community voting. Behaviour Interactive is now extending that community focus with a limited Early Access promotion, giving selected fans a chance to play before the chapter officially launches on August 25.

How the Chorus of Sin giveaway works

The promotion is built around Twitch Drops rather than a standard redeemable code campaign. Players must play Dead by Daylight on Steam, create or use a Behaviour account, and connect that account to Twitch. They then need to watch at least one hour of Chorus of Sin broadcasts from selected creators while Drops are enabled.

Watching the required amount automatically places an eligible viewer into the drawing. Winners will receive instructions by email, but access is limited to the specific Behaviour account that earned the invitation. It cannot be transferred to another player, and each account can enter only once. Behaviour Interactive plans to distribute 4,500 invitations during the promotion, with the drawings running only until July 31.

Early Access schedule and platform limits

Chorus of Sin Early Access is restricted to Steam, and it is available only during scheduled windows. The opening sessions begin on July 30, followed by additional opportunities on July 31 and August 1. This means winning an invitation does not provide unrestricted access throughout the entire period; players must also be available during one of the announced time slots.

A community-built chapter with a wider preview

Behaviour revealed Chorus of Sin during its 10th-anniversary livestream in June, describing the project as a community-driven era for Dead by Daylight. Players voted on elements including the chapter's theme and content. The result will add The Judgment as a new Killer and Aurora as a new Survivor.

Early Access events have historically been limited to selected content creators. Opening this preview to a broader group of players gives the studio a way to acknowledge the audience that helped shape the chapter. The giveaway also creates a limited test audience ahead of the full release, although the random selection means participation will not guarantee access.

What comes next for Dead by Daylight

Chorus of Sin is part of a wider expansion plan for the franchise. Behaviour has confirmed realistic facial animations, character model reworks, and map improvements that include new weather effects. Two additional game modes are also in development: one centered on 1v1 play and another built around zombie mechanics.

The anniversary period has already included a free reward of 10 million Bloodpoints through a redeem code that remained active for a month. Since the developers have a history of offering rewards around new chapter launches, further bonuses may appear in the weeks surrounding Chorus of Sin, though no additional rewards are confirmed here.

Expert View

The promotion signals a more participatory approach to chapter development and testing. By tying access to community-created content and Twitch viewing, Behaviour Interactive can reward engaged players while giving the new chapter additional visibility before launch. The limited number of invitations preserves exclusivity, but the Steam-only format and random drawing also keep the event from functioning as a broad public demo. For the franchise, the larger significance is that community involvement is becoming part of both Dead by Daylight's creative process and its marketing strategy.
