Dota 2 developers joined the trend of other game companies, where creators demonstrated early builds of their titles. The whole flashmob happened after early concepts of GTA VI got leacked, which made the fans somewhat unhappy with the current state of the game.

Valve's workers chose to display the funniest of the pre-alpha model. Lion, the meta hero had more than an unfinished look, as shown by devs. However, the devs mentioned that by that time the model was considered "finished", as the early build did not require more details.

Feels like its face was just a painted placeholder, and the overall 3-dimensional model had strange proportions.
