Final Fantasy 7 Remake Heads to Game Pass Ultimate

Xbox Game Pass subscribers weighing up their next big RPG can mark October 29 on the calendar. Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is joining the service for Ultimate, PC, and Premium members, bringing Cloud Strife’s Midgar story and the Episode: Intermission expansion to Xbox consoles, PC, and cloud streaming.

What is changing on Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft has outlined the next stretch of Game Pass additions for late October and early November. The headline release is Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, the expanded version of Square Enix’s reimagining of the original Final Fantasy 7. It includes the main game and Episode: Intermission, the side story centered on Yuffie Kisaragi.

Intergrade launches through Game Pass on October 29. Ultimate and PC subscribers will have access, while Premium members are also included. Xbox confirmed that the game will be playable on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming, giving Ultimate players a streaming option as well.

The same date also brings psychological horror game Mouthwashing, parkour-focused Terrible Lizards, and Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted, an HD remake of PopCap’s strategy classic. Mouthwashing and Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade are confirmed for Premium, while all four October 29 releases are available through PC and Ultimate.

Who should pay attention to the new releases

Final Fantasy fans are the clearest audience for this update. Final Fantasy 7 Remake retells the opening portion of the original game entirely within Midgar, following mercenary Cloud and the Avalanche group as their fight against the city’s Mako-powered order grows into a larger conflict. For players who have waited for an Xbox route into the remake project, Game Pass creates a straightforward way to start the story.

There are smaller releases to track before then. Sandustry enters PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate on October 21, while platformer Dodo Duckie follows on October 22. Scramble Knights Online and The Seance of Blake Manor are also slated for the final full week of October.

Subscribers should also plan around departures. Nine games will leave Game Pass on October 31, including Day of the Tentacle Remastered, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and Deep Rock Galactic. Football Manager 26 is scheduled to leave on November 10.

What comes next after October

The next wave continues into November. Co-op game Pit of Goblin arrives November 3 for PC, Premium, and Ultimate subscribers. Warhammer Survivors follows on November 10. The Warhammer spin-off was made with Vampire Survivors developer Poncle and features separate campaigns based on Warhammer Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000.

Xbox has also identified Gravhounds, Void/Breaker, Football Manager 27, and Thronefall as part of November’s Game Pass lineup. Meanwhile, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade’s arrival lands ahead of Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, the stated concluding chapter of the remake saga, which is due on current-generation platforms on April 8, 2027.

Expert View

This is a strong Game Pass update because Intergrade is a substantial, clearly defined package rather than a short-lived novelty. The cloud option also improves its value for Ultimate subscribers. The rest of the slate offers useful genre variety, but players should check the October 31 removals before committing their time elsewhere.
