GTA 6 Radio Stations Bring Celebrity Hosts and Flash FM Back

Radio has always been one of Grand Theft Auto's most effective world-building tools. Licensed songs, fictional presenters, advertisements, and talk programming help each game establish its own identity while players travel between missions. Rockstar Games has now offered an early look at GTA 6's radio lineup, revealing six stations and a group of celebrity hosts designed to give Leonida a broad, recognizable musical personality.

Six stations define Leonida's sound

The preview covers a wide range of genres and regional influences. Cocoteo FM focuses on modern Latin music, with Bad Bunny and RaiNao presented in-game as El Martillo and La Gata. Back Country Radio takes the country route through hosts Morgan Wallen and Lana Del Rey, who appear as MW and Delta Dawne. AfroBank FM combines African classics with amapiano and 3-step, featuring Burna Boy and Palms Trax. Metal fans get The Chamber 106.6, hosted by Slayer members Kerry King and Tom Araya. Dirty South Classics represents regional rap and hip-hop through Trick Daddy and Trina.

Flash FM returns to Vice City's orbit

The most familiar name in the announcement is Flash FM, the pop station associated with the original Vice City. Rockstar is bringing it back for GTA 6 with Robyn and Alex Consani as its hosts. Its return links Leonida to the franchise's earlier depiction of Vice City while giving the station a new on-air identity. For longtime players, that continuity may be as significant as any individual song in the wider soundtrack.

Music extends beyond the car radio

The revealed tracks are similarly varied. Rockstar has highlighted MGMT's "Electric Feel," Slayer's "Raining Blood," Loretta Lynn's "Don't Come Home a Drinkin'," Charli XCX's "Good Ones," Pantera's "I'm Broken," and Asake's "Joha." These examples suggest that switching between stations will produce sharp changes in mood, from country and pop to metal and African music. The company has only shown part of the final selection, so additional stations and songs remain possible before release. Fans can also hear some previews through Rockstar's official website.

Headphones and podcasts expand the feature

GTA 6 will let Jason and Lucia continue listening after leaving a vehicle through headphones or earbuds connected to their smartphones. That is a notable change for the series, where radio has traditionally been tied to cars. Rockstar is also introducing podcasts that can play during driving and while exploring Leonida on foot. The podcast names have not yet been announced, but the feature should make audio a more persistent part of the open world. Rockstar has confirmed a November 19 launch date and says more music will be revealed before release. A separate 34-track collection, Grand Theft Auto 6: The Album, will feature artists including Travis Scott, Yung Lean, Future, Metro Boomin', Morgan Wallen, Rauw Alejandro, Keith Richards, PinkPantheress, and Fred Again.

Expert View

This preview shows that Rockstar is treating audio as a core part of GTA 6's identity rather than background decoration. The combination of recognizable performers, genre variety, returning franchise history, and portable listening should give the community plenty to discuss before launch. It also creates strong discovery potential: players may approach stations for their celebrity hosts, then stay for unfamiliar artists and regional styles. With much of the lineup still undisclosed, the eventual full reveal could become an important part of the game's pre-release conversation.
