LEGO announces five new Pokémon sets with Rayquaza and Arcanine

If you’re already collecting LEGO’s Pokémon sets, today’s reveal adds five more builds to your shopping list—featuring Rayquaza, Arcanine, Munchlax, and a large Red minifigure, plus an Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball display set. What LEGO revealed (the five new sets)

LEGO kicked things off earlier with its first official Pokémon set in January, and the line clearly didn’t slow down—12 more sets were announced for August. Now, five additional sets are on the way, each built around a Pokémon and/or trainer moment.

The lineup includes: LEGO Pokémon Munchlax (a 757-piece Munchlax build), LEGO Pokémon Up-Scaled Red Minifigure (a 930-piece, supersized trainer figure of Red), LEGO Pokémon Arcanine (a 1,190-piece, posable display model), LEGO Pokémon Rayquaza (a 1,083-piece set recreating a Sky Pillar scene and including an exclusive Lorekeeper Zinnia minifigure), and LEGO Pokémon Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball (a large 2,339-piece display that opens and closes and contains multiple trainer journey scenes).

Pre-orders are available starting today through LEGO’s website and the Pokémon Center, with additional availability at select retailers.

Launch dates vary by set. Three of the builds—Munchlax, Arcanine, and Rayquaza—are set to launch on August 1. The remaining two—Up-Scaled Red Minifigure and the Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball—launch on October 1.

Prices, piece counts, and what to expect from each build

Here’s the practical breakdown that matters if you’re budgeting or planning shelf space.

Munchlax is priced at $69.99 and includes 757 pieces, standing over 18 cm tall, with posable arms and head plus included “treats.” The Up-Scaled Red Minifigure costs $79.99 and uses 930 pieces, with posable arms and legs and a rotating head, plus accessories such as a Poké Ball.

Arcanine is the mid-to-large display option at $109.99 with 1,190 pieces, built as a fully posable model sized for display. Rayquaza is priced at $129.99 with 1,083 pieces, designed to recreate the Sky Pillar scene from Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, and it adds an exclusive minifigure of Lorekeeper Zinnia.

At the top end, the Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball is $299.99 and lists 2,339 pieces. It’s built as a large Poké Ball that can open and close, and inside it includes key moments such as a battle scene and Professor Oak’s laboratory, along with three minifigures (Professor Oak, Picnicker, and Red) plus Pikachu and Eevee figures.
