The build reflects the version that can stand and move upright after Psycho Mantis helps activate it, rather than the later hunched iteration associated with the machine. A Recognizable Metal Gear Machine Gets New Attention
Sahelanthropus plays a major role in Metal Gear 5: The Phantom Pain, appearing in Mission 31 and returning in Mission 50. Its design and story connections make it one of the series’ most memorable machines, while its boss encounter remains a notable part of the game’s campaign. This is not the first Millennium Falcon-based Sahelanthropus, either.
