LEC Spring 2022 is finally over, and we have the winner with extraordinary stats on the match history. G2 Esports have not only won €80,000, but also the right to compete at Mid-Season Invitational 2022, kicking off May 9. The MVP of the tournament was tagged to Rasmus "caPs" Borregaard Winther, whose Ahri has proven itself to be a superb choice up to the concluding day for G2.

Finishing the regular season on the 4th place, G2 looked to improve their run with better comps, but soon fell to Fnatic in the playoffs, which meant that they had to climb up from the lower bracket. First, they dealt with Vitality, but, in caP's words, G2 were not worried at this time, which made them keep their heads cool and slip out of the crushing pressure of Vitality. 3:0, and G2 advance.

Next, they met Misfits gaming, who did not perform their best against Rogue and fleeted against G2 too, this time with the score of 3:0. Early solo kills and map control were the dominant cards for G2 throughout all 3 maps.

Moving forward, next they had to lock horns in the revenge match against Fnatic. This time the opponent had no chance to survive. Fnatic did not make conclusions after the unlucky run against Rogue and lost in a similar style. Anyway, now G2 had only one match left to finish the season with heads high.

Close rounds at the start of the 1st map against Rogue indicated that G2 should concentrate on their mobility. The teamfights eventually set the path to eliminate the Baron. Drakes came to be handy in the second map too, while Rogue had a little gold advantage. After 25 minutes the decisive team fight broke out, granting the mountain soul to G2.

Rogue eventually figured out how to shut down the early success of G2. Malrang had already 3 kills in the opening 3 minutes, which meant that the aggressive approach gave its fruits. However, G2 were not going to give up. Caps, with his Ahri, went into heroic clashes and secured several kills, bringing G2 back to life. His team quickly set the domination on the whole map, not giving the opponent a space to breathe, taking the Barons and getting closer to the enemy nexus.

Finally, Rogue's base was destroyed, and G2 took the crown at LEC 2022. Now they are looking forward to the game against MSI 2022 participants, most importantly, the undefeated T1.
