Ex-LCS pro Doublelift shared a story on the latest Team MrBeast vs Team Ninja $150,000 League of Legends competition. It turns out, that Riot did not allow current pro players take part in the charity match. Doublelift's story raised concerns, as the streamer went into details live.
One of the participants should have been Bjergsen. However, the Ultimate Crown went without him, as Riot and LCS did not allow the pro's participation. In contrary, fans believe it would be beneficial for all the parties, marketing-wise. That's because LCS viewership numbers saw a decrease in the latest Split. In the end, Doublelift added:
The viewership is absolutely dying. There’s no denying it. Everyone knows it. Everyone can feel it. LCS is dying.
The charity match generated almost 70,000 viewers on air on Twitch. Team MrBeast won in the opening 2 maps.
