Three Very Different Properties Are Fueling the Speculation
Marvel is the most familiar name on the list. Wizards of the Coast has already collaborated with the company through Spider-Man and Marvel Super Heroes products, and additional Marvel content has been confirmed for the future. A new Secret Lair would therefore extend an existing relationship rather than introduce the publisher to Magic for the first time.
KPop Demon Hunters would represent a newer direction for the game. The Netflix animated film became a breakout property after its 2025 release, and fans have previously speculated that its characters could appear in Magic. The Jim Henson Company and Labyrinth Enterprises references are less specific. Magic’s Crossover Plans Extend Beyond 2026
The rumored Secret Lairs are part of a larger expansion of Magic’s crossover program. Star Trek is scheduled to be the final full Universes Beyond set of 2026, following several other major licensed releases. Wizards has also confirmed that six major expansions will arrive in 2027, including three new Universes Beyond sets, though none of those properties has been named.
The announced in-universe releases for 2027 show that licensed collaborations will sit alongside Magic’s original settings. The year will begin with Nauctis: The Sunken Realm, followed by Kamigawa: Titanbreach and a set focused on Teferi’s home plane of Zhalfir.
