Persona’s 30th Anniversary Adds a Beard Papa’s Collaboration

Persona’s 30th-anniversary campaign is continuing beyond game announcements and in-game events, bringing the series into a major food and merchandise collaboration. Sega and Atlus have confirmed a partnership with Japanese bakery Beard Papa’s, giving fans in participating United States locations another way to celebrate the franchise throughout the anniversary year.

A September Collaboration for Persona Fans

From September 2 through October 4, Beard Papa’s locations will offer Persona-themed cream puffs, collectibles, merchandise, and other promotional items. Although Beard Papa’s originated in Japan, the chain has locations in the United States that are included in the collaboration.

The food menu is built around three games: the original Persona, Persona 4, and Persona 5. The Persona 1-inspired Ube S’mores cream puff combines an ube eclair topping with toasted marshmallow and vanilla bean custard. Persona 4 is represented by a Cookies n’ Cream Drizzle puff topped with crushed Oreos and filled with vanilla custard. The Persona 5 option uses raspberry crumble and dark chocolate on top, with strawberry cheesecake custard inside.

Collectibles Extend the Anniversary Beyond the Menu

The collaboration also introduces new chibi-style artwork featuring protagonists from the original Persona through Persona 5: The Phantom X. The characters are shown sitting on cream puffs or holding Beard Papa’s products, giving the campaign a visual identity that carries across several types of merchandise.

Eight blind-box acrylic standees are available to collect, while the same artwork is also being used for stickers, tote bags, mugs, and clothing. Customers who purchase a four-pack of cream puffs will receive a Persona and Beard Papa’s sticker sheet. A six-pack includes one random acrylic standee, along with an in-game code redeemable in Persona 5: The Phantom X.

More Persona Anniversary Plans Are Still Ahead

The bakery partnership is part of a wider anniversary program that began with a website launched by Sega and Atlus at the end of 2025. The companies indicated that additional reveals would arrive regularly during 2026, and the franchise has since received a range of collaborations, events, and releases in Japan and other regions.

One upcoming point of interest is Kotone Shiomi’s addition to Persona 5: The Phantom X. The alternate protagonist from Persona 3 Portable was not included in Persona 3 Reload, making her appearance in P5X notable as her first modern 3D model. Persona is also scheduled to receive official cards and decks in Cardfight Vanguard in December. Further anniversary announcements remain possible before the year ends.

Expert View

This collaboration shows how Persona’s 30th anniversary is being treated as a broad community campaign rather than a single game announcement. The combination of limited food, collectible merchandise, and a Persona 5: The Phantom X reward gives different parts of the audience a reason to participate, while the wider schedule keeps attention on the franchise between larger releases. For fans, the most important takeaway is that the anniversary program still has room for additional reveals and partnerships.
