Pokémon GO Schedules Mega Clefable Raid Day for November 28

Live-service games increasingly use limited raid windows to turn major character releases into community-wide events, and Pokémon GO is continuing that approach with another Mega Evolution tied to Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Mega Clefable will arrive through a dedicated Super Mega Raid Day on November 28, giving players a short window to battle for the new form, pursue a shiny encounter, and collect several event bonuses.

Mega Clefable closes out a busy Mega release run

Mega Clefable is set to make its Pokémon GO debut on Saturday, November 28, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time. The event is positioned as one of the final major celebrations of the current Twilight Trails season, which is due to end on December 1. It follows other recent Super Mega Raid additions, including Mega Staraptor in September and Mega Chandelure on Halloween Day. Super Mega Raids are presented as a more demanding alternative to regular Mega Raids, making the limited-time bonuses especially important for players looking to build up resources quickly.

Raid rewards include shiny chances and Moonblast+

Players who defeat Mega Clefable in Super Mega Raids will be able to add Clefable to their collection with Mega Level 1 already unlocked. The Fairy/Flying-type can then be powered toward Super Max level. Raid participants will also have an increased chance of finding a shiny Clefable. The release introduces access to an extra Charged Attack for Mega Clefable: Moonblast+. When used by Mega Clefable, the Fairy-type move has 160 power in Raids and 80 power in Trainer battles, while also carrying a chance to lower the opposing Pokémon's Attack by one stage.

Free passes and a Global Challenge extend the event

Pokémon GO will offer up to six free Raid Passes from Gyms during the Mega Clefable event. A separate Global Challenge runs from 5:00 PM PST on Friday, November 27 through 8:00 PM PST on November 28. Completing more challenge tiers will unlock additional rewards for Mega Clefable, including stronger Moonblast+ boosts that apply from November 30 through December 13. The Remote Raid cap will rise to 20 during the challenge period, giving remote players more opportunities to join Super Mega Raids. Limited Timed Research will also award an additional free Premium Pass and a Metagross encounter.

What comes next for Pokémon GO

Mega Clefable will bring Pokémon GO's available Mega Evolution total to 55, though more unreleased Mega Pokémon remain outside the mobile game's roster. Scopely may continue adding new forms before the end of 2026, but this launch could be the final large-scale Mega debut before Twilight Trails concludes. November's calendar is already crowded: Wild Area 2026 Global is scheduled for November 14 and 15, Eternatus and nearly all Dynamax Pokémon return beginning November 16, and Pawniard Community Day follows on November 21.

Expert View

Mega Clefable's rollout highlights Pokémon GO's continued shift toward concentrated, high-participation raid events for major form debuts. By pairing a new Mega with free in-person passes, a higher Remote Raid ceiling, and progression tied to a Global Challenge, the event is designed to mobilize both local raid groups and remote communities. For players, the key decision is whether to focus resources during the three-hour Raid Day or use the expanded remote limit across the wider challenge window.
