PS Plus September 2026 Update Adds WWE 2K26 and Three More Games

Subscription libraries continue to use staggered monthly updates to keep players returning throughout a release calendar, and Sony’s September schedule follows that approach. The second wave of PlayStation Plus catalog additions is now live, bringing four games to Extra and Premium members, including WWE 2K26 and the console debut of RuneScape: Dragonwilds.

Four Games Join the Catalog on September 15

The latest update became available on September 15. RuneScape: Dragonwilds and WWE 2K26 are available to both Extra and Premium subscribers on PS5. Premium members also receive Mega Man X: Command Mission on PS4 and PS5, alongside Metro Redux on PS4.

RuneScape: Dragonwilds is the most notable addition from a launch perspective. The survival RPG had remained a PC early-access title since April 2025, making its console arrival alongside version 1.0 a day-one release for those platforms. WWE 2K26 gives the same update a major sports-entertainment name, while the two Premium games draw from older franchises.

A Mixed Lineup Covers New Releases and Classics

The September catalog is designed around different types of players rather than a single genre. RuneScape: Dragonwilds offers survival-focused role-playing, and WWE 2K26 adds a current wrestling release. Mega Man X: Command Mission, originally released in 2004, reworks Capcom’s action-platforming series as a tactical RPG. Metro Redux combines the remake of Metro 2033 with the remastered Metro: Last Light in one PS4 package.

This wave follows Date Everything, which entered the service on September 9. Sony had already announced the remaining Extra and Premium games for the month, but the September 15 release marks the first major portion of that broader catalog rollout.

Two More September Waves Are Still Scheduled

The monthly update is not finished. Ball x Pit and Slitterhead are scheduled to join the catalog on September 22. On September 29, Sony is expected to add Dungeons of Hinterberg, Sniper Elite: Resistance, and Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound.

Taken together with the games already announced, September is set to add two classics and eight multi-tier catalog titles, matching the volume of the August 2026 lineup. Sony is also expected to announce the October 2026 Essential games on September 30. Based on the usual timing, those complimentary games should become claimable on October 6.

Expert View

The update shows how PlayStation Plus is balancing immediate visibility with catalog depth. A day-one console release gives the service a current headline title, while WWE 2K26 supplies a recognizable annual franchise and the Premium games strengthen its historical library. The remaining September waves should maintain engagement across the month, although their value will depend on how strongly players respond to the individual genres and series.
