Timing matters: the promotion window is set to end on July 27 at 12 pm CT, but one of the six games leaves earlier than the rest. Firefighting Simulator: Ignite exits the Free Weekend at 3 pm CT on July 26, so it’s the one to prioritize if you want to spend the full weekend with it.
Steam also positions this event as more than a trial. During and after the Free Weekend, discounts are available for the games in the offer, making it easier to move from “try it free” to “keep it” if the gameplay clicks.
The six free games available right now
Until July 27 at 12 pm CT, Steam lists Icarus, Firefighting Simulator: Ignite, Killing Floor 3, Wild Assault, Unrailed 2: Back on Track, and Metal Gear Solid – Master Collection Version as free to play during the promotion.
Icarus is a session-based survival game for up to eight players, built around repeated drop missions onto a hostile alien world. Firefighting Simulator: Ignite puts you in the role of firefighters responding to emergencies, with co-op options for up to four players.
Killing Floor 3 continues Tripwire Interactive’s co-op horror shooter formula in a near-future setting overrun by Zeds, while Wild Assault is a multiplayer third-person hero shooter that pairs objective-based combat with animal-themed characters.
Unrailed 2: Back on Track is a co-op train-building game focused on keeping the train moving through resource management and unpredictable obstacles. And for stealth fans, Metal Gear Solid – Master Collection Version offers the classic cinematic action stealth experience on Steam.
