In the latest Dev blog the developers of Valorant presented the numbers of banned cheaters. It also came with an acceptance that there is still a lot to do before the community is finally safe from toxicity.

First, they introduced the steps taken towards the voice & chat experience improvement. They have collected feedback from players and now have a lot more info, regarding inappropriate slang that is used in-game, which will be disallowed to use. They have also restricted their approach to punish those players who try to use hacks, spread hate speech, etc.

As a result they presented a graph of restrictions regarding commands and game bans. The number of bans of chat and voice misuse exceeds 400,000. This is massive, taking into account that the stats belong to just one month.

Next, Riot are targeting 4 directions:

1. Harsher punishments

2. Real-time text moderation

3. Voice moderation upgrade

4. Regional Test Pilot Program

At this stage, the company just asks for help from players through reporting toxic behavior in the game. This will have a lot in getting rid of the dirty side of competition in Riot’s shooter.
