After the news of Gambit's acquisition by Cloud9 happened in the last week, the whole esports community was trying to sum up the value they had to pay for the Russian team. CS:GO analyst Thorin "Duncan" Shields leaked the possible cost of the deal — $1 million.

It is known that Gambit could not make an agreement directly with Cloud9. An agency bought the rights of Gambit Esports CS:GO first and then sold it to Cloud9.

Not only Thorin, but also the whole CS:GO scene thinks that paying one million dollars for the top-tier Gambit Esports roster and management was practically a steal. There are times when solely one athlete costs half of the money, and even more, such as NIP's Brollan.

However, it is now official: Gambit Esports will be competing in Cloud9's kit, regardless of their region of performance. Here is the whole team:

  • Vladislav "nafany" Gorshkov;
  • Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov;
  • Sergey "Ax1Le" Rykhtorov;
  • Timofey "interz" Yakushin;
  • Abay "HObbit" Khasenov;
  • Konstantin "groove" Pikiner (coach);
  • Ivan “F_1N” Kochugov (analyst);
  • Aleksandr “Sweetypotz” Scherbakov (manager).
