After T1's crushing win against F.BRO, the reds' mid-laner Lee "Faker" Sang-Heok gave interview to KORIZON Esports. Sharing his thoughts with Ashley Kang, Faker remembered his latest achievement, claiming 500 career wins. In his opinion, the legacy might be taken even further by others:
I have been active as a professional gamer for such an extended period of time. Records are naturally set as a result of that, it cannot be halped. And if the LcK scene enjoys longevity, some day there will be another player who will one day break my records in turn. Therefore, I do not care much about such records. <...>
I came to this conclusion based on many hypothesis that I hold right now. Compared to the early days, esports has become much more established and proactive in it's infrastructure. I merely happen to be one of the first benefactors of such an established infrastructure. This is why I expect to see others like me in the future. Even right now we continue to see an increase of players that are staying active as long as me in the LCK.
Apart from 500+ victories, Faker holds also another record, having 2,600 kills on his name. T1's next opponent is Hanwha Life Esports. Teams will meet on Wednesday, July 13th.
