Industry insider and developer Aquarius has given a brief note in twitter regarding the release window of Source 2 engine for CS:GO. According to the message, Source 2 will be  released in the first quarter of 2023. This means that the fans might be able to enjoy CS in a completely new experiene before Summer or even Spring 2023.

Earlier one of the insiders had explained the reasons of delay of Source 2 release. The devs weren't able to find a proper solution of shifting the whole content, including user inventories with rare and expensive skins, but now it seems like they have found the key.
